Hello Lovelies, admittedly I'm procrastinating yet again but I haven't written a blog post in a while, it feels like that anyway so here I am trying my best to write something that I hope you will enjoy reading whilst I think about starting my Sociology work. As I've mentioned in previous posts I have a blog on Tumblr. This blog consists of various band photos along with photos taken on disposable cameras.

Some of you may be thinking that it seems a little odd that I choose to take photos on such a 'poor' quality camera when I can afford to buy a digital camera so I've devised a list of the most frequently asked questions I get on tumblr regarding disposable cameras.
How do you get that effect on your photos?
Honestly there's really nothing to it. When you're taking any photo on a disposable camera you have to make sure that the flash is on so you get the 'grunge' effect. It also helps if you switch all the lights off and make the room as dark as possible.
Where can I buy disposable cameras?
I usually buy mine from Boots but you can buy them from a lot of different shops including places online such as Amazon.
Where do I get my disposables developed?
Usually the place where you bought your camera from will have a photo developing facility. If not I would recommend Boots because you can have your photos developed within an hour whereas with a lot of places you would need to go back the day after.
How many photos can you take on disposable camera?
I can take 27 photos on the ones that I buy, although I think it varies deepening on the make of camera you buy.
How much does it cost to buy a camera and then get the film developed?
The disposable cameras that I buy are £8.50 each but there are also cheaper and more expensive alternatives. I think I pay around £7.00 to get my photos developed although I can't quite remember. That includes getting the photos on a CD as well.
Do your friends think it's weird that you take photos on a disposable camera?
Some of them thought it was weird at first but I've been taking disposables since I was three years old, although people's heads were usually missing from the pictures. I know a few other people that use disposables as well so it isn't that weird anymore.
Why do you choose to take disposables and not digital ones?
I think disposables cameras are much easier to use when you're out because you're not worrying about dropping or smashing them like you would with a digital camera. I just really love the effect that you get with a disposable camera. If you take photos in the dark you get a grunge effect but if you take them in the light you get a warm, vintage effect. I love how there's people on Tumblr like myself who have blogs dedicated to disposables because we can reblog each others photos, yay.
